Install the Modrinth Desktop App

Follow these short steps to get the Modrinth client up and running on your machine.

1. Pick Your OS

• Windows: .exe installer
• macOS: .dmg file
• Linux: Snap or Flatpak (see below)

2. Download

1. Go to Modrinth App.
2. Select the file that matches your OS.
3. Linux only: sudo snap install modrinth-app --classic or flatpak install flathub com.modrinth.App

3. Install

1. Open the downloaded file.
2. Follow the on‑screen prompts.
3. Windows: allow changes; macOS: drag to /Applications.

4. Launch & Sign In

Start the app (desktop icon or menu entry). Log in with your Modrinth account, then point it to your Minecraft folder if it doesn’t auto‑detect.

5. Add Mods

1. Select a Minecraft version.
2. Browse the catalog or paste a project URL.
3. Click “Add Project” – Modrinth will handle the rest.
